Vietnam is renowned for its dream beaches, breathtaking peaks, signature pagodas and the green rice paddies. However, “the rising dragon” has more to offer than nature, culture, and history. In the time span of just one generation Vietnam has pulled itself out of stagnant poverty, thanks to a policy of openness to trade flows and foreign direct investment (FDI). Ever since, the country has embarked on a steady growth trend.
Today, Vietnam is firmly integrated into the global economy and continues to increasingly attract entrepreneurs and investors from all over the world.
The key factors that make Vietnam a safe and promising destination to invest or set up a business are: its strategic location in the heart of Southeast Asia, the country’s stable politic, the ample workforce with competitive labor costs and the open environment for FDI.
The country's policy of openness has not been affected by the pandemic situation, which is now under control: since March, Vietnam reopened its doors to the world and resumed "business as usual".
How can Swiss investors seize the opportunities available in Vietnam? How does taxation work and what investment incentives are available for foreign-invested companies? How much funds should be allocated for local human resources and what are opportunities for import?
To answer these questions, the City of Lugano, the Ticino Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Cc-Ti) and the Fidinam Group, with the participation of the Embassy of Vietnam in Switzerland, are organizing an event to present Vietnam as a safe and promising business destination.
The event will be held in English.
Available seats are limited and early registration is welcomed.
